"Rumah Panggong Yasmin Homestay"
Built Approximately around 1813 - 1827 long before First World
War or the Great War happened originating in Europe that lasted from 28 July
1914 to 11 November 1918.
In general architecture reflecting characteristically original
Malay architecture as found in areas along the coast of Sumatra and Malacca.
In this area there are three known types: Early Architecture
Malay, 'Melayu Bubung Panjang' and 'Melayu Bubung Limas'.
Early Malay houses wooden stilts with materials such as wood,
bamboo, rattan, tree roots, leaves or reeds that grow and easily available
around the settlement.
Early Malay Building is roofed in which part of the roof slant,
has a veranda in advance, as well as many openings that serve as ventilation.
The house consists of early Malay-home moms and home kitchens are standing on a
pole house planted in the soil.
In connection with the poles, people familiar with the philosophy of Bangka Belitung Islands 9 pole. Buildings erected on nine pillars, with the main pole in the middle and was first established. Roof covered with palm leaf. The walls are usually made from the stem / bark or reeds (bamboo).
'Melayu Bubung Panjang' is usually because there are additional
buildings on the side of the existing building, while 'Melayu Bubung Limas' due
to the influence of Palembang architecture. Part of the roof of the building
with this architecture truncated.
In addition to the influence of Malay architecture also found
non-Malay architectural influences as seen from the shape longhouse generally
inhabited by people of Chinese descent. Effect of other non-Malays came from
the colonial architecture, particularly visible on the stone staircase with
curved shapes.
Within a period of more than Two Hundred Years, this "Rumah
Panggong" has changed the owners of it houses for several times and
undergone several improvements from generation to generation until the last to
fall to the father's family wise Mrs. Yanti, Mr. Eddy Arif & Mr. Zainal
Arifin.
According to a story by word of mouth peoples and elders ,
although it has experienced some improvement but the main form as well as the
main pillars of the houses is still the original materials from the first time
he built
